Terms of sale and licences

These terms apply when you buy a digital artwork from jacksonsdigitalart.co.uk. The shop is run by Colin Jackson, trading as Jackson’s Digital Art, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected].

What you are buying

Each purchase is a digital download: one high-resolution JPG file of the artwork you choose, together with the licence you select. Nothing physical is posted. The pixel size and largest recommended print size are shown on each artwork. Colours can vary slightly between screens and printers.

The artworks are created by us using AI image tools, then selected, refined and upscaled for printing.

Prices, VAT and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling before VAT. VAT, where it applies, is added at checkout (20% for UK buyers) and the total is shown before you pay. Payments, tax and receipts are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. Discount codes can be entered at checkout and are subject to the limits stated with each offer.

Delivery

After payment you are taken straight to a private download page for your file. Please download and keep a copy. If you have any trouble, email us with your receipt and we will help.

Your right to cancel

Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital downloads, this right ends once the download is made available to you, provided you have agreed to this before buying. When you buy, you are asked to confirm that you want immediate access and that you understand you will lose the right to cancel.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If a file is faulty, will not download, or is not as described, contact us and we will replace it or give you a refund.

Licences

Personal licence (from £4 + VAT): use the artwork for yourself and your household. This includes prints and framing for your own home, phone and computer wallpapers, digital photo frames and TVs at home, greeting cards, invitations and gifts, and crafts such as scrapbooking, stickers or printing on your own mugs and clothing, as long as nothing is sold.

Commercial licence (from £15 + VAT): everything in the personal licence, plus use by a business. This includes decorating business premises, rental properties and holiday lets, screens in shops, offices and waiting rooms, and use in marketing and design work such as social media posts, websites, presentations, adverts and book or album covers, including work for clients.

Extended resale licence (by arrangement): needed if you want to print the artwork on products that you sell, such as prints, mugs or clothing. Please get in touch to agree terms.

Neither licence allows you to resell, share or give away the file itself, include it in templates, stock libraries or print-on-demand marketplaces, claim the artwork as your own, or use it in a way that is unlawful or offensive. Copyright and all other rights in the artwork stay with us. Each licence covers one buyer; a business licence covers one business.

Custom designs

Custom designs are made to your description and cost the normal licence price plus £10 + VAT. We will agree the details and price with you by email before any work is charged for. Because a custom design is made to your specification, the cancellation right above does not apply once work has started, but we will always try to make sure you are happy with the result.

Liability and law

We are not responsible for printing costs or results from third-party printers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
