Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information jacksonsdigitalart.co.uk collects and why. The data controller is Colin Jackson, trading as Jackson’s Digital Art. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- When you buy: checkout is run by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, billing country and postcode, and payment details to take payment, work out VAT and send your receipt. We can see your name, email, location and what you bought, but never your full card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- When you request a custom design: the form sends your name, email and message to us by email using the Web3Forms service, so we can reply and create your design.
- When you join the mailing list: the sign-up box sends your email address to us using the Web3Forms service. We use it only to email you about new designs and offers, with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or emailing us, and we will remove you.
- When you email us: we keep your message and email address to deal with your enquiry.
- When you visit: the website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
To provide what you have bought or asked for (contract), to keep business and tax records (legal obligation), and to keep the site working and secure (legitimate interests). Mailing list emails are sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Custom design requests and emails are kept for up to two years unless they become part of a purchase. Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
